Recreating the water cooler moment
Small talk has proven to be one of the most influential and cheapest defenses against loneliness. However, with the modern multisite and hybrid workplaces, creating one in the office is becoming more challenging.
Manussa program recreates the water cooler moment where colleagues can have a chance for small talks during the company’s coffee break. But instead of making another fixed and mundane task, our technology adds an element of surprise and makes it fun.
The biggest challenge was to ensure that this voluntary activity would not be a burden for employees and instead should be enjoyable.
We group 25 employees who already know each other but are physically apart. Each has a Bump Call app on their personal mobile phone. The app then randomly matches 2 employees and generates a matched call (we call it a Bump Call). We have scheduled two coffee breaks each day, from 10:00 to 10:15 and from 14:45 to 15:00, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes for each Bump Call.
