Remote CareTaking Care of Remote Workers

Remote and hybrid workers do not experience strong relationships, despite engaging in more meetings and interactions with colleagues.

Remote workers, especially those starting a new position fully remote, face a challenging task in building connections with their colleagues.

The solution to this issue is not to bring everyone back, as multiple studies have found that only a fraction of in-office employees are satisfied with their work arrangements and social connections.

challenge

How can we engage remote workers in informal, non-work conversations in a spontaneous manner?

solution

Our team has developed an onboarding program to introduce remote workers to their office colleagues. The workers would then be put into an “Event” on the Bump Call application with those from the same batch. We follow the success of the Company’s FIKA program and apply the rule exclusively for remote workers. Now they have two windows of opportunity per day to bump into their colleagues for casual conversations.
